Welcome to The Money Talk!

Updated: Apr 13, 2019

Hello everybody! Welcome to The Money Talk, where it doesn't matter how much money you have, it's what you do with it. My name is Alexis Bertoldo and I am your author. Thank you so much for visiting and reading! I am sooo excited to finally start this blog and get content out there.

Some of you may be thinking to yourself, "Self, who is this random chick, and who does she think she is to tell me anything about my personal finances?" The answer is simple, I am no one important. I am your regular, shmegular, degular, every day run of the mill millennial who is trying to figure it out; just like you are.

Recently, I have been trying to become more financially literate. I have always been pretty good with money, but I always felt as though I could do so much more. So I started really educating myself on personal finances and how to maximize my money. I have listened to endless podcasts and read many books and articles on financial wellness.

Throughout this knowledge seeking journey I have gathered a lot of information that has really changed my whole perspective on finances. At one point I was like, "Wow Alexis, you thought you were good with money... you really thought. You know nothing stupid girl (evil voice: Muahahaha)." So after my epiphany, if you will, I would try to make conversation with friends and coworkers about what I was learning to see if I was the only dummy who did not know these things. What I came to find out was that a lot of my peers were clueless, just how I had been. Seemingly basic finance concepts were alien.

So I started this blog for people like me, and people like you, who are just trying to figure it out. I am by no means a financial expert, but I do have some knowledge that I think everyone who is trying to become financially fit should know. So here, on The Money Talk, I will share my journey and what I have learned so far with you all in the hopes that maybe this information will help you get one step closer to financial freedom and becoming confident with the way that you handle your money. Please feel free to leave a comment or message me directly :)
